These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MyChapterPay ("MyChapterPay," "we," "us," or "our"). By using our website, portal, and payment tools (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Service Scope
MyChapterPay provides software for chapter billing, member rosters, notifications, and dues payment workflows. We are a software platform and not a bank, money transmitter, collection agency, or law firm.
2. Invite-Only Access
Access is invite-only. Accounts are created or enabled through chapter administration workflows. Public self-signup may be limited or unavailable.
3. Account Responsibilities
You must provide accurate account and contact information.
You are responsible for activity under your credentials and devices.
You must safeguard passwords, login codes, and session access.
You must notify us promptly at admin@mychapterpay.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Chapter Admin Responsibilities
Admins must only add members they are authorized to manage.
Admins are responsible for invoice accuracy, due dates, and recipient selection.
Admins must comply with chapter, university, and applicable legal requirements.
Admins must not use the platform for harassment, retaliation, fraud, or deceptive collection practices.
5. Payments and Processors
Payments are processed by third-party providers, including Stripe. By paying through the Services, you also agree to the processor terms and policies.
We do not store full card numbers or bank login credentials.
Processor availability, payment method eligibility, and payout timing are controlled by the processor.
Processor declines, risk holds, account restrictions, or payout delays may occur outside our control.
6. Fees, Estimates, and Refunds
Displayed fee estimates may vary from final processor-settled amounts.
Chapter settings may determine whether certain fees are absorbed by the payer or chapter.
Unless required by law or explicitly stated, platform fees are non-refundable.
Chargebacks and disputes are handled through the payment processor and may create reversals or additional fees.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not:
Attempt unauthorized access, scraping, or security bypass.
Upload malware or disrupt service operation.
Use false identities, impersonate others, or submit fraudulent payment activity.
Use the Services in violation of applicable law.
8. Availability and Changes
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled or emergency maintenance may affect access.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, security risk, legal requests, or misuse of the platform. You may stop using the Services at any time.
10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MYCHAPTERPAY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law rules.
